Hi I'm Tawny

I'm a college student. I love music and art. I have an amazing family and friends, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music. I play the violin and have played in orchestras. I also love to sing and have been in several choirs. I love theater as well, and enjoy participating in musicals when I can. I love to dance. I love art. Photography is a hobby of mine. I love to travel and to see new places and cultures. I also have an interest in studying the human body. I'm currently attending college, studying to be a nurse. I've been greatly blessed with a wonderful family that has always taught me how to love and serve others and has supported me in all that I do. There's nothing better than simply spending time with your family. Just being together. Friendships are very important to me as well. I learned from my parents to never give up on anyone, but to always be there for each and every one of your friends and family members. One thing that I've also learned from all the members of my family is to be well rounded. Love everyone and everything. I strive to always do that!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints my whole life. I was raised in a home with active parents that have always been a great example of faith and love for Jesus Christ and His gospel. I always knew the church was true growing up, but like everyone needs to, I had to find out for myself that it was true. I did that through reading the Book of Mormon prayerfully. At the end of finishing the book, I prayed to know it was true. I felt a warm feeling in my heart that it was, and realized that throughout the entire time that I was reading it, the Spirit had been testifying to me that it was true. I felt the strength and guidance much needed everyday that I read it. I felt the love that the Heavenly Father has for me as I read. I was blown away every time the spirit pointed something out that I needed THAT day in THAT verse. Heavenly Father knows each and everyone of us and our needs and desires. He knows us better than we know ourselves, and if we just try our best to accept His will and trust in Him, then we will be lifted up and guided in His ways. I know Christ lives and suffered and died so that we wouldn't have to, if we but live the gospel. I know we can live with Him and our Heavenly Father and our family forever after this life! I know that the gospel in it's fullness was restored to the earth by the prophet Joseph Smith. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God, as is the Bible. I know, without a doubt, that prayer is real! We can receive answers from God, or, revelation. It's only through that revelation and witness from the Holy Ghost that we can come to know God and the truth. THE CHURCH IS TRUE!!!!!!!!!

How I live my faith

One of the best decisions of my life thus far was to serve a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I volunteered my time, talents, and energy, to preaching and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ for a year and a half. I was called to serve in the Argentina Salta Mission. Upon finding some health issues, I received a reassignment in where I would serve. I can proudly say that I served in the California San Diego Mission and LOVED IT! It changed/saved my life! I love the people I met, taught and served with. I love how they taught me. I know that my mission will forever bless my life. The amazing things I learned on the mission can't even be put into words.
