Hi I'm Corin Iverson

I grew up in Arizona and was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

About Me

It has been a tradition in my family to join Cross Country and Track starting in Junior High and leading onto High School, so of course I followed in the footsteps of my siblings. Joining these sports helped foster my love of running and competition, and later healthy lifestyles. I am currently preparing to go on a mission to Denmark.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? I never bothered to ask myself this question until I was about 12 years old and starting Junior High. This was a rough time for me; it was here I lost my current group of friends I'd known since as far as I can remember, but it was also where I experienced bullying for the first time. So in my struggles my parents suggested I seek help from God. I began a search that would change my life. With the help of God I was able to overcome my struggles and stand up to bullies and defend others. This new found courage also helped me find new friends that would stick with me through High School. I guess that's why I am a Mormon because in my time of need it was God who I turned to and because I did he took care of me.

How I live my faith

I attend Church every Sunday, and while at Church I am blessed to be able to both be taught and teach others. After Church I also attend a missionary preparation class. Sunday is the sabbath and to keep it holy I do not do things like watch TV or intense chores. Instead I try make the most of the day by learning about the Gospel and spending time with my family.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Corin Iverson
Yes, Jesus Christ visited the Americas after he was crucified and also after he left his apostles in Judea. He appeared to the Nephites (Some of the Inhabitants of the Americas) and taught them his gospel just like he was doing with the Jews. He even set up another set of 12 apostles in the Americas to continue his teachings. Show more Show less
