Hi I'm Connor Salmon

I'm from Utah, Currently serving a mission in Oklahoma, play collegiate soccer and I'm a Mormon. And... I like terwtles.

About Me

I love the beauty of the game of soccer and spending time with family, friends and loved ones.

Why I am a Mormon

Exercising my faith wasn't always something I have done. Through a simple act of faith and encouragement from good friends, I read from the Book of Mormon, and was quick to find out that the book was from God. I am a Mormon and continue to be because I know that all Priesthood keys and authority have been restored through a modern day prophet named Joseph Smith, and it is only held within this church, which is the church of Jesus Christ. I look forward to being sealed to a lovely wife and kids for all time and eternity, through this same priesthood.

How I live my faith

I do my best to exercise Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ everyday. I'm a firm believer that no matter how close or far away you are from being perfect, we all need a story of redemption through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I currently am serving a mission in the Oklahoma City area to share what I know to be true.

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

Connor Salmon
Referring to the New Testament, in Matthew chapter 3, Jesus Christ is baptized. If you break down the process of Jesus coming from Galilee to Jordan unto John to be baptized of him, you'll find that the Savior had to travel about 90 miles to come unto him. Christ could've easily found a man nearby to baptize him of water, but it wouldn't have been done by the Priesthood Authority from God and he wouldn't have fulfilled all righteousness. In Mark Chapter 11 after Christ drives the moneychangers from the temple he talks to scribes about the Priesthood Authority. That same authority he was baptized by, he held. Healing of the sick and afflicted and performing miracles in his ministry was all done by that authority. In verse 28 of chapter 11 in Mark they (the scribes) ask the Savior "By what Authority doest thou these things? And who gave thee this authority to do these things?" It is important that we, like the Savior are baptized by proper priesthood authority. That we can fulfill all righteousness and have the Holy Ghost as a constant companion to lead and guide us in these wicked times of the world. Show more Show less
