Hi I'm Larissa

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mother of 2 and wife to a Physical Therapist.I Coach Volleyball, teach primary, and spend Countless hours with my family. I enjoy sewing, cleaning (kind of), Reading & playing with my kids. My oldest is 3 and is one of the smartest little guys i have ever met. Yes at time he pushes my buttons, but at the end of the day he makes me smile and look forward to the next adventure. My little girl is 1 and full of energy. She is a spit fire and keeps us all on our toes. My children make me who I am. My Husband keeps me from going crazy. He is so down to earth and a gentle giant! I don't know what i would do with out him and his calmness. I have alot of energy and don't always know how to contain it and he helps keep me from blowing a gasket.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because His Gospel gives meaning to my life. With out the atonement i would not be able to return to my Father in heaven. With out the Temple i would not be with my family for Time and All Eternity. With out the Primary answers (prayer, Going to Church & Scripture study.) i would have no guidance in my life. Because with out the basic teachings and morals of the church i wouldn't be who i am today.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by studying to teach Lessons. I am a Teacher to the children every so often & i am called to teach the women of my ward. My husband is in the Sunday School Presidency and teaches from the scriptures. I also play the organ every now and then. We are members every day of the week doing family prayer, Family Scripture study, Family Home Evening, Personal prayer & Scripture study. We Teach our 1 yr. old son about the Love of the Savior and how to love others on a daily Basis.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

All members are not required to serve a mission. Missions are voluntary and the missionaries are not paid for their service. I did NOT serve a mission. It just wasn't in my plan. I got married before the missionary age (at that time it was 21 for women And i got married just shy of my 20th birthday). But my sister is currently serving a mission in Japan. She was 20 when missionary age changed so she decided to go on her mission after 2 years of collage. Some members are not able to serve missions due to Health issues. For others it may not be for them. Show more Show less
