Hi I'm Ashley

I'm a college grad, a proud aunt, a violinist...I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm hardworking and driven to help other people reach their full potential. Right now I'm working full time, saving up and applying for a Master's Degree in Psychology, high school counseling program. I hope to work at a college or high school as an academic counselor some day...within the next few years. I've had a life blessed with rich opportunities, and I hope to help other people achieve their goals. I have played the violin since I was five years old; music has been a HUGE part of my life. I enjoy performing with my family, judging federation competitions each year, and playing with symphony orchestras. I also enjoy accompanying and singing with my church choir. Other hobbies include sailing, traveling around the United States and European countries, and skiing in Utah's beautiful mountains each season.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for my entire life. I had the choice to be baptized when I was 8 years old, and I knew it was what I wanted to do. Whenever I have wondered whether this really is the true church on Earth, I think back to the life of Joseph Smith. I know that he saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that he translated the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that he followed Heavenly Father's will, and established a church patterned after the one Jesus Christ created when he was here on Earth. As I study, and more importantly live the principles of this gospel, my faith is strengthened, my life is blessed, and I am a happier person.

How I live my faith

I have been actively involved in singles wards since I graduated high school. I have had the opportunity to teach lessons (which I love, because I learn so much when I teach), lead and participate in the choir, prepare and deliver talks for the congregation, and organize weekly activities outside of our Sunday meetings. Every Monday, our singles ward members meet together for Family Home Evening. I enjoy preparing fun activities that bring us closer together as a "ward family," and activities that help us reach out to single people our age in the community. My religion influences the way I treat other people, with kindness and respect. I see everyone as a brother or sister.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

Ashley
In order to increase your faith in Jesus Christ, read about His life and ministry in the New Testament and in the Book of Mormon. Then pattern your life after His; follow Jesus Christ's commandments, and you will feel the light of His gospel come into your life. Show more Show less
