Hi I'm Dwight

I was born and raised in Temple View New Zealand, now residing in Melbourne Australia. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 4, I'm an account manager for a large retail business and I'm also a photographer in my spare time which is becoming more and more a second full time job. My Passions are my family and Ice Hockey.

Why I am a Mormon

Family is very important to me and this Church puts families as its highest priorities, we believe families are forever, not only in this life but for all eternity. I have always been a member of this Church, but I have learned for myself these words in Moroni chapter 10 verse 4 "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God the Eternal Father in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost".

How I live my faith

I am called to serve as first councillor in church and help with organising and co-ordinating Home Teaching, I have also served as an advisor in the youth program. I try to live each day with my mind firmly set on the examples of our Saviour to serve our brothers and sisters and assist where needed in my family as a Father and husband and as a leader in church and as a volunteer in the community.

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is another witness that Jesus Christ really lived, that He was and is God’s Son. It contains the writings of ancient prophets. One of these, Lehi, lived in Jerusalem around 600 B.C. God commanded Lehi to lead a small group of people to the American continent. There they became a great civilization. God continued to call prophets among these people. The Book of Mormon is a collection of the writings of their prophets and record keepers. It is named after Mormon, one of the last of these ancient prophets. The Book of Mormon concludes with a great promise that those who read it and sincerely pray about it can know by the Holy Ghost that it is true (Moroni 10:4). Show more Show less
