Hi I'm Kevin

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music. Music is what keeps me going each day. No matter what my mood is there is always music that I can listen to that will lift me up. I especially love to sing. I also love sports. In high school I played football and rugby, as well as enjoyed playing pick-up basketball. I also love spending time with my family. I love my parents as well as my brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews. We enjoy just talking and laughing and being together.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because living the standards of the Church has brought happiness into my life. I am a Mormon because I know that God the Father and Jesus Christ have called a prophet in these days. I know the Joseph Smith was the first prophet called in the latter days and that he translated the Book of Mormon with the Gift and power of God. I know all of this is true because I have read, studied, prayed and tried to live the teachings of these prophets. It wasn't always easy for me growing up, I saw friends who had different beliefs than I did, but I tried my best. I remember there were times when I often doubted whether the Church was true. My testimony became strong after I read the Book of Mormon for the first time, and like what is taught in Moroni 10:3-5, I prayed and asked our Father in Heaven if this was all true or if it was wrong. My answer wqas not extraordinary, rather a calm and relaxing confidence that I was on the right path. I know that this is how God and Jesus Christ want me to live. This is their Church and their Gospel.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve others in the Church. I have been able to go with my dad and share messages with other members and help them to learn of God's love for them and how they can be happy here. I have had the opportunity to serve in a position where I got to lead and teach the guys that lived in my dorm at Brigham Young University. I have also had many opportunities to do clean up projects in neighborhoods, work at a cannery to help prepare food for the needy, as well as many other activities. The opportunity to serve is given to all members of the Church and it strengthens the relationships we have with all peeople and helps us become a tool in the hand of the Lord to bless others. It has been such a blessing in my life and has brought so much happiness to my life to be able to serve others.
