Hi I'm Jennifer

I'm a mother and a wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest (and only daughter) of four children. I am married and have a beautiful daughter who is the light of my life. I have a Bachelors degree and I love learning. At this point in my life, my greatest joy is being a full-time Mom. I enjoy being outside and going for walks or bike rides. I like to try new recipes and taste new foods.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS (Mormon) church. Growing up, I never doubted what I was taught but still wanted to know for myself if the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints were true. As I prayed and studied the scriptures, I gained a testimony that what I had been taught by my parents was indeed true. With different life experiences come challenges and hardships, as well as joy and happiness. I know that as I follow the teachings of Jesus, I am blessed. I may not see the blessings right away but I know I have a Father in Heaven that loves me and knows me personally. He is aware of my weaknesses and strengths. I know Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died so we may all live again.

How I live my faith

I try every day to be a better person. I am not perfect and I make mistakes. I think of the Savior's example and try to live my life in a similar way. I love helping others and try and find ways to ease others burdens. I currently work with the children ages 3-11 in my church congregation. I learn so much from them! Being around their cheerful attitudes is the highlight of my week. I love to hear them sing about Jesus. I love reading the words of ancient prophets in the scriptures. One passage of scripture that has been particularly reassuring to me in my life is found in Proverbs 3:5-6, "trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and he shall direct thy paths". My life continues to be guided by the Lord and I feel it is because I am trying to follow His commandments.
