Hi I'm Lisa

I grew up in the heat of Arizona. I'm a wife, a mom, and a dental hygienist. I like to be active and create things. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've lived in Arizona my whole life and love the warmth and Sunshine. I'm the youngest daughter of two very loving parents and have 3 brothers and 2 sisters. I've always loved creating things. Whether its sewing, painting, crafting, organizing, or cleaning, I love a good project! As I've grown up, I've developed a love for music, exercising and reading. I'm married to a wonderful man who keeps me laughing, and we have a sweet little girl who brings us so much joy and keeps us thoroughly entertained. I love spending time with my family and I'm so grateful to have so many of them nearby. I work part time as a Dental Hygienist and love being able to help and meet new people on the job.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a LDS (Mormon) family so I grew up learning the teachings of the Gospel. It wasn't just one moment or event that helped me to know that the church was true, but many experiences. As I grew, I listened to what was being taught, began studying scriptures and pondering. I would have moments where I would get an overwhelming feeling, where the spirit was telling me it was true. For example, I have had two siblings past away from cancer. The Gospel teaches that our families are eternal and can be together forever. I have been comforted by the spirit and given the knowledge that through the sealing power of the temple our family can be reunited again. By turning to my Savior in times of trial or when I've made mistakes, I have felt the peace and comfort that only He can provide. I've learned that as I try to live as my Savior would have me do, I'm filled with joy and peace. A feeling of love and security comes when I'm living the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I help serve the members of our congregation by helping to plan and carry out weeknight activities held once a month for the women. The activities are sometimes educational, spiritual, crafty, or service oriented. These nights are meant to help uplift and bring unity to the women. It's also fun to socialize and get together outside of Sunday meetings. Personally, I set goals to help me live the gospel better. I strive to study the scriptures with more intent and follow the guidance of our latter-day prophets and apostles. I've also been trying to notice when people are in need and provide more service to those around me. I'm working on seeing others as our savior would and treat them with kindness. Though I'm not perfect in living my faith, I hope that those around me can see that I'm happy because I'm striving to live it better each day.
