Hi I'm Dave

I grew up all over from Shepardstown, WV to Northern Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Dave. I served a mission in Los Angeles, California in the Spanish speaking Huntington Park Stake and in the Palos Verdes Stake in Palos Verdes, California. I play guitar and write music in Spanish and English. I am currently a full-time student working on my BA with a Major in Spanish and a Minor in Latin American Studies and will finish in December 2013. I know who I am and where I came from and love the gospel of Jesus Christ. This gospel has helped me come closer to the Savior and remember that I am a son of a loving Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized at age 8 like the rest of my family but I wasn't truly converted until I turned 17. My cousin invited me to go to a week long camp out that was for the Aaronic Priesthood holders in his stake which at first I hesitated in going. With a bit of encouragement from my mom I decided to go. It was on the last night that we were on the camp out and the leaders decided to hold a fireside for us that night.... as I sat in the audience among the other young men that were there I had prayed to Heavenly Father asking him if the church was true. A few moments later I felt the Holy Ghost testify to me that I needed to know that the church was true and to remember that the Savior paid the price for my sins because he loves me. I finally gained my own testimony of the true gospel of Jesus Christ. A year and a half later I was serving my mission and from that point on I have never forgotten that the Lord comes first and to remember that it's his will that needs to be done and not mine.

How I live my faith

I was just released as the Ward Building Cleanup specialist and have learned what it means to put the gospel and Heavenly Fathers children first.
