Hi I'm Mashell

I married my High School sweet heart. We spent the next 30 years making a home where the Army sent us. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Mother of 4 and grandmother of 7. I'm a home body that likes to travel. Sounds like a oxymoron, but it's true. When I'm home; I love being home, but I also enjoy traveling, learning about and seeing new places. I'm so happy I had the chance to raise my kids LDS Army style. After all our moves, we landed back where where our journey began. I miss our military family, but not the packing and black shoe marks on my floors. Where ever we go the LDS Church is there.

Why I am a Mormon

Every member has their own personal conversion story. I can clearly remember the moment I knew the Gospel was true. At age eight, I was interviewed to be baptized and confirmed a member of the Church. My bishop asked me; an eight year old girl if I believed The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was true. At that very young age, the Holy Ghost filled my heart and body with warmth and peace confirming what I had been taught and all that I would learn about the Gospel is true. The doctrine that touches my life on a daily basis is the plan of salvation. It is the knowledge that I am part of a plan and my family is eternal.

How I live my faith

In all my moving I have been given countless opportunities to serve in the Church and community. Still, I'm just a regular mom trying to raise a family with high morals and values. I'm not immune to heart break and sorrows. My joy for life is grounded in Gospel doctrine and principles. In all my living, I hope my joy is evident by my smile, the way I treat and speak to others.
