Hi I'm Numberjuan

I was born in Washington, but grew up mostly in California. I will be serving in the Argentina Rosario Mission.

About Me

Well I'm your typical nerd, I love anime, video games, and I play two instruments; the piano and saxophone. I'm a young man, ordained an elder, and am preparing to serve a misison. For the time being i'm going to my local community college taking classes that will transfer to BYU, the college i'm hoping to go to. I've run cross country for four years, and did track for three, unfortunately i haven't kept my running in check, after highschool...i can't even run a few miles without stopping anymore, makes me sad that does. I maintained honor roll throughout highschool, did scouts, graduated seminary, all that good stuff. I'm the oldest sibling, and i have a dog, yay.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but even those who are born into the church have the potential to fall away. We believe in free agency, the ability to make whatever choices we want. I was never forced to obey any rules, never forced to do anything I didn't want to, I chose to be baptized, I choose to this day to follow the commandments of our Father in Heaven. I am a Mormon because I believe in my heart that this is the true church. I know that for converts making great changes to be a part of this church will be hard, I know the sacrifice is great, but the rewards and blessings you will receive will be even greater, I have seen a true living example of that in my own life, one of my close friends is a convert, and seeing how he has grown in the Church is truly miraculous. Growing up in the church I never really had to make any crazy changes, but in my teen years being exposed to others in highschool and college, and really seeing the world and it's values and sort of living them in a sense, I can testify that that is not true happiness. The only true happiness is through Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father, they give us joy, and if we're faithful that joy will be everlasting; that's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

At this very moment I am preparing to go to Argentina Rosario for my mission, I will try to live the Lord's gospel the best I can and follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. Before I'm set apart, my calling is Ward Missionary, which entitled me to help our local missionaries in whatever they needed help with anything, offering my assistance the best way I can, this was, in my opinion a very big help for me, to see how living as a full time missionary would be like. I've held leadership positions for our youth groups, and through that, have learned the importance of leading by example, for this reason I try to be as obedient, kind, honest, and patient with others as I can be.

What is being a Mormon like?

Numberjuan
Being Mormon is one of the best things ever. I find joy and happiness in reading the scriptures, I understand why I'm here, where I will be going, and how I can get there. I feel the joy of the Lord's blessings in my life as i live the gospel and it's standards, my life has been stable, happy and safe because of the influence of the church. Whatever emptiness I may ever feel I know that i can go to my Heavenly Father for help. We as Mormons hold a high value on families and standards. Show more Show less
