Hi I'm Jill

I grew up in Missouri.mother of 5 wonderful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite thing about my life is being a mother. I love to read and have instilled that in my children too. Favorite season is summer. Love to see the flowers and my garden. We try to have a picnic once a week at the park or in our back yard. My favorite thing about winter is the football season starts back up. I could watch football year round. I also enjoy making crafts. Like to sew but not the best at it.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a member of the church when I was 8. Made some poor choices during my teenage years but came back after I had my second child. I could not imagine raising my kids with out the teachings and morals of the church. I have always believed in the gospel but after I read the Book of Mormon I prayed about the truth of it. I had a peaceful feeling come over me. Like a huge weight was lifted off of me. I know this is where my family and I belong.

How I live my faith

I have worked with children of all ages. I am currently with the youth ages 12-18. I love working with the youth. We teach them to respect themselves and others. This age group are the future leaders of this world and it's an amazing opportunity to work with them. I also participate in a program called visiting teachers. We are paired up and visit the other ladies in the church. It is nice to have the adult interaction and to be able to share a spiritual message. This program helps us get to know other women and make friends. I know if I ever need someone to talk to I only need to make a phone call and they will be there to listen and offer advice. We have family night once a week. It is called Family Home Evening. My kids are so excited every Monday to get to spend time together as a family. It is also a good time for them to share their day with us. When they become teenagers I know it will be hard for them to share with us. So this night gives them the opportunity to open up or just relax and be themselves.
