Hi I'm Karen

I grew up in New York. I live in Arizona now, but I don't like the heat. I love teaching mathematics. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom of four children each with their own personalities. My husband and I try to be an example for them to follow. We want them to be productive, happy people. I enjoy teaching others and see the light in their eyes when they finally understand something. My favorite hobby is going to thrift stores and finding a bargain - it feels like a treasure hunt! I find joy in the simple things in life, like a beautiful sunset, a soothing pedicure, or curling up with a favorite book.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I believe that Heavenly Father has a plan for me and for all of His children and that he has given us a living prophet here on earth today to help guide us. When I am doing the things that I know are right, I feel peace in my heart. I believe that families can be together even after death and knowing that the family unit continues into the eternities gives me a sure knowledge that God knows me and loves me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving the young women in my church. I teach them what I believe and how they can be living more virtuous lives. We also have fun together! I try to serve in my community by taking an active role in helping at my child's school. I chaperone field trips and help out at concerts. Serving my community makes me feel good and allows me to feel a part of something bigger than just my little world. I try to be an example in the way I treat other people. Patience and compassion can go a long way in making this world a better place.
