Hi I'm Jordan

I'm an English major. I'm a return missionary from France. I'm a liberal. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My family is from Cypress, Texas. I have 2 younger sisters and a younger brother. I served as a full-time missionary for 18 months in France. Now, I'm a student at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. I'm a double major in English literature and French. I LOVE cooking- a hobby I picked up while living in southern France. I also love reading, writing, sewing, drawing, skiing, and spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the church because of the guidance that it gives me. To people who are not members, our guidelines may seem strict, but I have gained a testimony of our standards and know that they help me to be a better person. As a Mormon, I never feel alone. With the guidance of the Holy Ghost, Christ, and my Father in Heaven, I find life becomes more enjoyable. I love this church. I love the standards. I love being Mormon.

How I live my faith

Sometimes, as a full-time student, part-time employee, sister, daughter, girlfriend, and member of the church, things can feel overwhelming. However, I find time to live my faith in little ways every day. Even 5 minutes of reading in the Holy Scriptures, taking time to converse with God through prayer, or making someone's day better can bring the spirit into daily life.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

I served as a full-time missionary for the church from 2013-14. I served for 18 months in southern France. I loved being a missionary because of the message we shared and the completely sure testimony I have that the message the missionaries have can change lives and bring light. If a missionary knocks on your door, they will enter and teach you about how you can improve your relationship with your Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. They will teach you about how God reveals His gospel today. They will teach you about how God makes it so that you can be with your family forever- how you can be reunited with your loved ones after this life. They will teach you about baptism, faith, and the beautiful doctrine of repentance. They will teach you things that will make you even happier than you are already. Show more Show less

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Christ never turned His back on anyone during His mortal life. He is ever-loving and ever-merciful. Every person on this earth regardless of race, sexual orientation, or religion is a child of our Heavenly Father and He loves them, so who are we do to anything else? Show more Show less
