Hi I'm Kay Carrier

I've lived in the Midwest for the last 22 years. I am the Mother of 5 boys and 9 grandchildren. I love being a Mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love spending time with my family and friends, going to the beach and to the gym. I'm learning to play the piano and enjoy reading and spending time outdoors. I don't like to do crafts, but I do crochet baby blankets for my Grandbabies. I love to eat and wish I was a better cook, maybe someday. Last year I ran my first 10K after having knee replacement surgery. I love watching sports and March Madness is one of my favorite time of the year. Once my son, who lives in another city, watched an entire basketball game while we were on the phone together. I love that my sons have all different interests and I enjoy being involved with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ brings me peace and happiness. The church has given our family the strength to endure difficult times as well as kept us together as an eternal unit. Our family has been blessed as my sons have served missions and we have seen many miracles in our lives as we have chosen to live righteously. I have a very personal relationship with my Heavenly Father and I have seen his guiding influence in my life on a daily basis. Every important decision I make comes with personal prayer and reflection. I am so thankful for the atoning sacrifice of my Savior and I know that I can overcome my shortcomings through His atonement. I am grateful for the power of the Priesthood and have witnessed the healing power during times of illness and hardships.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily through personal prayer and scripture study. I love the Women's organization of our Church and the opportunity I have each month to visit with other women to serve them in any way that I can. Our motto is "Charity never Faileth" and I am very thankful to be a part of an organization that helps in so many ways. We are a church that allows everyone to participate in leadership roles and I have been able to serve in this capacity as well. I have had many faith promoting experiences while serving and I love being able to grow and learn. I've had many opportunities to share my beliefs with others and I enjoy discussing my religion with those not of my faith. My religion is not a Sunday only, but an every day way of life.
