Hi I'm Jill

I'm a Mormon. I live with my 3 children and wonderful husband in Virginia, but will always call California my home.

About Me

I am lucky enough to wear many different hats during the day; mom, wife, daughter, sister, undergrad student, stake Relief Society secretary, athlete, PTO board member, visiting teacher, coach, referee, quilter, craft-er, and many more. I love all my hats and they keep me busy. My life revolves around my children and husband with a little time on the side for myself.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the church. There have been times in my life that I can look back at and see epic moments that keep me active in the church. Times when my faith has been tested and confirmed. I know that I can turn to prayer and receive answers for myself. I believe in the gift of modern revelation. I believe, just as the church in the bible was guided by Heavenly Father through his prophets, His church today is also guided through modern prophets. I believe that Christ went into the waters of baptism to be an example to us, therefore we too, must be baptized to receive a remission of our sins. i know that Heavenly Father is a loving and forgiving being. He yearns for us to be with him again someday. And even though I make mistakes, through the atonement of Jesus Christ, I will be able to return to his presence.

How I live my faith

Last year I taught the nursery class, which consisted of children ages 18 months to 3 years old, and I thought that was the best job ever! A couple years before that I was the music leader for all the children in our ward, and at the time I thought that was the best calling. Now I am a secretary in the presidency that are stewards over the women in our stake. And this is my new favorite calling. I get to meet women from other cities that I would not normally get to meet. I get to help plan activities for all our women to meet together. We meet to receive inspiration from others or to learn to be better wives and moms.
