Hi I'm Corry Jones

I grew up in inner city Long Beach California and have also lived in Logan Utah. I love nature and God.

About Me

I am 18 and I am attending Brigham Young University in Provo Utah. I love the wonderful creations that God has put on this planet for us. I spend my free time getting out there and seeing this world up close and personal. I love riding my bike, running, climbing, and snowboarding. I recently finished my first marathon. I also love team races like Ragnar relay series and Rockwell bike relay. Traveling is another way which I have been inspired. One of my favorite places is the tiny island of Culebra in the Caribbean. Sharing these experiences with other people is my favorite.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and was taught from an early age about why we are on this earth. It gave me purpose. That purpose is to grow and prepare to meet God. By following this guide I feel that I have a direction in life and that I can help others to find their purpose here. I also have been taught love and love is the single most important thing in creating a better world. The gospel has brought about many positive changes in my life that have influenced who I associate with and how I live my life. This has had an innumerable effect on how I have become the person I am and it shapes the person I am becoming.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through love. I love my family, I love my friends, I love the people around me, I love the earth, I love myself, and I love God. I try my best to always be in a state of learning. To update myself to be the best most authentic loving version of me that I can be. The gospel of Christ has helped me to do that in many different ways. I am working on having more gratitude in my daily life. I try to show gratitude to all the people that cross my path. I try to always remember to be grateful in my prayers. I also keep a "What Went Well" Journal where I write 3 things that went well in my day right before I go to bed. I believe that gratitude for the good in life will bring us lasting happiness and hope as well as a closer relationship with God.
