Hi I'm Courtney

I'm a former swimmer, current missionary, and future traveler of the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am originally from California, spent most of my childhood in Arizona, and now live in North Carolina. I am currently serving as a missionary in the Germany Berlin mission, which encompasses all of northern Germany. I love sports, German, and Moab, UT. I spent two years at BYU studying English and Environmental Science and hope to return after my mission to complete my studies. After college, I look forward to traveling to every continent, getting married in the temple, and raising a family with more dogs than kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be born into this wonderful church. I honestly can't imagine where I would be without the standards and the knowledge that I have a Heavenly Father that knows me and cares about me. I cannot deny the Spirit that I have felt over and over again that testifies to me the truth of this gospel. The love that I feel every time I attend church, pray, ponder, or read the scriptures is just indescribable. I have read the Book of Mormon, and I know without a doubt that that book is true. I am forever grateful for the opportunity that I have in the middle of a hectic day to kneel down and pray and know that my Heavenly Father is listening to me and watching over me. I am thankful for Jesus Christ, of whom the Bible and Book of Mormon both testify. I am thankful for the Atonement and His ultimate sacrifice. I am grateful to know that no matter how many times I mess up, there is always hope, that I can continue to repent and improve as I progress through this life. It is through the Atonement and His death and resurrection that we are able to be resurrected and have the opportunity to live forever with Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. I am also thankful for the emphasis that the church places on family. I know that I will be able to be with my family forever - ancestors, future family, everyone. I enjoy learning about my ancestors and coming to know and appreciate them and their sacrifices. Without a doubt, this church is the most important part of my life.

How I live my faith

I am not perfect at living the Gospel - no one is, nor can they be - but I do my best to lead by example in what I do and say. As I have been preparing to serve a mission, I have had many opportunities to open my mouth and talk about the blessings I have received by being a member of this Church, especially through social media. I am excited to share the great message of the restored gospel with those in Germany who are seeking for the whole and complete truth. I am grateful that I have the opportunity to serve those who are in need of help and comfort.
