Hi I'm Alejandra

I was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. I love to read and dance. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Alejandra. I was born in Honduras. Ever since I was a little girl I have loved to read. I recently discovered that I like to dance as well. I am a Criminology student. I love to spend time with my family and friends. Although I don't have a lot of free time, I do love to cook and bake whenever I get the chance.

Why I am a Mormon

When my family moved to Canada at the age of 8 we didn't really know a lot of people. Barely speaking the language, everything was difficult for us. At the age of 8 i often felt alone because I couldn't make friends at school. When My family started attending the church we were welcomed in. The girls in the primary made an effort to talk to me and get to know me better, I felt at home. I know that at the age of 8 we really do not understand everything. At first I had a testimony of my parents testimony but as I grew and understood the gospel more I began to receive my own testimony. There were times in my youth that I felt that I was just coming to church because my parents took me but whenever I heard the Prophet speaking in General conferences or whenever I attended young women activities, I felt the Love of my Heavenly Father. I know that this church is true, I can feel it whenever I pray, or read my scriptures. Following the commandments is not always easy, I can tell you that by experience, but I know that it is so worth it. There is nothing better that knowing that our Heavenly Father loves you and that he is willing to hear you and help you if we ask. I know that I can have an eternal marriage and family. The church is true.

How I live my faith

I have worked with the primary for about 2 years and I love it. Being able to teach these children from an early age is a wonderful feeling. The thing that makes it special is that these kids love you for who you are, they do not judge you, they know that what you are teaching them is true. And they surprise you every sunday with what they know. I live my faith by being obedient to the commandments. I know that I am a daughter of God. I know what my purpose in life is, I know what to do to make it back home to my Heavenly Father. When I am having troubles with something in my life, I pray. I pray for small things like finding my key to bigger things. And I know that I will get a response. Prayer never fails.
