Hi I'm Susan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello everyone! My name is Susan and I'm married to R. Bart KIser and we are the parents of four children--two boys and two girls. They range in age from 17-23. The two oldest are students at Brigham Young University. Our third child is currently a missionary serving in San Diego, California and our youngest is a Junior in High School. I love the blessing of being a mother and have focused my life on their upbring. Before I was married I obtained a master's in health and taught junior high for six years. I actually enjoyed teaching seventh graders! They are smart and still want to please. Prior to my marriage, I lived in France for 18 months as a child and also lived in Chile while serving a mission for the LDS church. I think my Spanish suffered from a French accent! It was an honor, however, to live among the Chilean people as a missionary. They are a loving people. In addition to being a mother, I enjoy tennis, ballet, reading, and eating chocolate chip cookies. Currently, I am enjoying learning new technology skills as I recertify in public education.

Why I am a Mormon

I want to follow the Savior, Jesus Christ and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is His path to do so. The church contains His teachings that lead me and my family to happiness here on earth and together as a family in the hereafter. How can I say this unequivocally? Because I have studied the teachings of the church and prayed intently and sincerely to know if the church were true. I received a clear, comforting, peaceful feeling from God that indeed this church comes from God and is for all mankind. The church brings strength to my life, gives me hope, motivates me to good works, and brings happiness. It is vital to me and family. It is vital for everyone in this world.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ on a daily basis through prayer, scripture reading, and service. In addition, I oversee a group of about 120 women in my neighborhood and we work together to strenghten one another in faith by serving one other and helping to care for those in need.
