Hi I'm Zach

Im a Pole Vaulter and love sports. I love being with people. I love serving the Lord. I love being a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Zach and I am a Mormon! I love to golf and to do multiple sports and interests. I am a proud brother of 5 siblings and love each of them to death. I am currently looking for my options for track and field to do the pole vault collegically. I am a go getter and work hard all the time. My favorite thing to do is to hang out with all my friends on the weekend and to just go with the flow of life. I am currently serving in the Georgia Atlanta North Mission preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and loving every bit of it!

Why I am a Mormon

I lived and always knew all the things in this church was true. Everything I did was service related with my family. The Gospel has blessed My family and I so much that we we always have our love for the Lord and his Gospel. I know that it blesses families and the spirit really testifies of its truths. I am so blessed that we can live in this Gospel and the chance it gives us to live worthy and righteous.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing others the Gospel. Even though sometimes they dont feel like they need it, I feel it is essential that everyone has the chance to hear what we say and what we believe in. I work and do any service projects that I am asked to do. I help organize Church Basketball games during the basketball sessions and other sporting events. I am also serving a full-time mission in Northern Georgia.

Who is the Mormon prophet today?

Prophets have been called of God to lead His Church in our day, just like in the ancient times. The current prophet and President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Thomas S. Monson. He is assisted by two counselors- Henry B. Eyring and Dieter F. Uctdorf, who were also called of God. Together, they make up the First Presidency of the Church, just like Peter, James, and John were when Christ left the Earth. All members of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles are apostles and prophets. The current Apostles are: -Boyd K. Packer -L. Tom Perry -Russell M. Nelson -Dallin H. Oaks -M. Russell Ballard -Richard G. Scott -Robert D. Hales -Jeffrey R. Holland -David A. Bednar -Quentin L. Cook -D. Todd Christofferson -Neil L. Andersen Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

We have been brought to this earth to live a happy and joyful life. We can fullfil this duty by living the Gospel of Jesus Christ and following the commandments that Heavenly Father has given us in these last days. I know that as we follow and are obedient to these things we can become closer with Them and live with Them again for eternity. One of the great blessings we have is to be with our families forever. As we live the Gospel and experience the plan that God has given us, which is the Plan of Happiness, we can always have the great joys in life and always have the desire to become like Christ and we can become the best people we can be. We become more like him through service, missionary work, and contributing to society as much as we can to gain that happiness and joy that we have. Show more Show less

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

We believe that Joseph Smith was a living prophet that restored Christ's Gospel back onto the earth. He was confused about all the teachings of the other faiths that were around his area. He really wanted to get the staight truth and wanted to know what church was teaching the truth. So one day he was reading and studying the Bible and came across James 1:5 which says, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." No scripture has ever hit Joseph like this one had. He then put the challenge to the test and went into a grove of trees near his house and said his first vocal prayer with a sincere heart to ask of his questions. He then had a vision and in his own words it went as follows. "I saw a pillar of light, exactly over my head, above the brightness of the son, which descended gradually until it fell upon me. When the light rested upon me I saw two personages, whos brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them, spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other, 'This is my beloved son, Hear Him." At that time I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His son Jesus Christ and they came and instructed him to restore the fullness of the Gospel on the earth once again. I know that Joseph Smith was a living prophet called by God to restore our Savior's church once again. I know that Jesus Christ is the head of our Church and guides us. Show more Show less
