Hi I'm Jessika Chavez Carlock

I am Jessika Chavez Carlock. I love to spend time with my family, soccer fanatic, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi. My name is Jessika Chavez Carlock. I have been married for a little bit over 1 year to the man of my dreams and I love to play and watch soccer and other sports. I love spending time with my family and friends. I am currently working as a substitute teacher and hope to become a 1st grade teacher in the near future. I love being a Mormon because this religion has brought so much peace and hope into my life.

Why I am a Mormon

The reason why I am a Mormon it's very simple, I know that is the only true church of Christ on earth. I was born and raised in a loving Mormon family. As a child I lived on my parents faith and testimony, because I did not have my own testimony and it took a while before I was converted to the gospel. After realizing the many blessings that I had in my life and the many opportunities that I was given by our Heavenly Father I got on my knees and prayed to God to ask him if this was true. After receiving a clear answer I knew that it was true, and I knew that there is a God and that He loves me more than I will ever understand or know. I am Mormon because this gospel has brought peace, hope, and love into my life and it has given me a strong foundation whereon I can build a family of my own. I am a Mormon because I was told by my Heavenly Father that this is His church and I cannot deny nor ignore my answer. I am a Mormon because I know with the fullness of my heart that I am on the right path to everlasting life!

How I live my faith

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is not easy, but it is extremely rewarding. I live my faith by trying to be like Jesus Christ. We believe that He is our Savior and Redeemer, and because He performed a great and infinite Atonement we are able to repent and start from scratch once again. I try to set the best example that I can, so that those who do not believe in Christ can see a difference in me between believing and not believing. Even though I am not perfect I know that one day I could reach perfection through Christ, and as I go through my day I try to share that message with others who don't know or who truly don't understand the meaning of that.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Jessika Chavez Carlock
Thanks to my humble parents that decided to be baptized and become members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I was able to come in this world to a beautiful-Christ centered home. As I attended church for many years I was always taught to pray to my Heavenly Father, and I always did. However, I always heard testimonies of people who had great spiritual experiences through prayers and I remember as I reflected upon my prayers I realized that they were "robotic" if that makes sense. I really wanted to develop a relationship with my Heavenly Father. I truly believed in Him and I knew that He was mighty and that I had been blessed and delivered from mine enemies many times through His power. After having a great desire to develop a stronger relationship with Him my prayers began to be more sincere. Now my night prayers consist of me telling Him what happened in the day, how I feel about certain problems in my life, I ask for counsel and advice just like I do with my earthly father. I truly believe that as we pray to our Heavenly Father with a "sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things" (Moroni 10:4). I know that your prayer will be answered as you seek diligently and YOU WILL come to know more and develop a stronger relationship with our Father in Heaven. I know it! Be faithful!
