Hi I'm Samee

I love rodeo! Goat Tying, Pole Bending, and Barrel Racing! and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Howdy! I'm Samee or Samantha or Mandee or Sosa or whatever you want to call me, I have a lot of names! My favorite thing to do is rodeo! I l-o-v-e LOVE it!!!!! Right now I am still in high school and compete in high school rodeos most every weekend and wouldn't want it any other way! The events I compete in are Goat Tying, Pole Bending and Barrel Racing. I don't know which event I like most but its usually whatever one I am best at in the moment, but if you were to ask my horse which event he likes best he would say Pole Bending. My horse is a Rock Star and gets faster and more consistent on every run we make. After high school I hope to collage get my early elementary teaching degree and compete in collage rodeo in the Goat Tying. So wish me luck, I have a lot of work ahead of me for that! But it will definitely be worth it in the end and Ill have some awesome stories to tell!!

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Well i came to know at a young age that this is the one and only true gospel, then I hit those lovely teenage years we all love so much and fell off the path. I was with a bunch of friends one night just hanging out and doing somethings we really shouldn't have been doing. I was late to pick up my sister, got on a wrong road back to town, started to speed who knows how fast and surprise I wrecked my car. It flipped 3x and honestly I should have died! I don't remember a lot of that night except thinking how did I not die, if it wasn't for my seat belt I 100% would have and im so glad I found my phone to call my mom. shortly after that I was talking with a councilor who had me go over every detail of the night I could remember. The main question she had for me after was Why? Why did you call your mom and not anyone else? I couldn't answer it then but I can now. I called my mom that night because I was raised to believe you can always rely on your family when your in trouble, because no matter what they love you and are always there. That is why I am a Mormon..The family. I love my family and want to be with them for all eternity, everyone of them, and someday my future husband and children. The day I wrecked something changed in me, it hit me like a ton of bricks, and I woke up. I started doing the right things and gained a testimony. I know the Gospel is true, that God had me saved for some far off reason, and that my wreck was really a blessing in disguise!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by what I say and do. I go to church most every Sunday, but when you think about it, that really doesn't mean a thing! You can go to church and be a Mormon on Sundays and let your light shine on Sundays. But then every other day no one would even know that you were a Mormon because of what you say and do. I'm not perfect (I like to say I am..but...i'm not even close!) thankfully you don't have to be, because the Atonement of Christ, you just have to be on the right path and progressing. We're not perfect and God never expected us to be! Some days are easier and better then others but "..God..will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear." (1 Corinthians 10:13) That makes it sound so easy doesn't it...God wont tempt us more then we can bear...He always has a way out for us...But this life, it wasn't made to be easy, its made for us to prove ourselves to God and ourselves that we want to return to him, that we want to be like him, that we want to let our light so shine and will do everything we can to bring others to him. That's how I strive to live my faith.. to be an example to bring others to Christ, to let my light shine for all the world to see, and be on the right path, progressing every single day. He never said it would be easy, he just said it would be worth it!
