Hi I'm Bryn

I'm a single mom of 3 amazing kids. I come from a Navy family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a single mom to 3 different, amazing kids. One of the kids has Cystic Fibrosis, learning disabilities and Pervasive Development Disorder- Not Otherwise Specified. Another one of my sweet kids has Celiac Disease. Juggling all three of their schedules with doctors, hospital stays and routines keeps me very busy. When I did work, I was an Ophthalmic Technician. I love working with people and getting to know them. I come from a Navy family. My dad was a Chaplain which means he took care of the religious/social needs of the people. I grew up in many different areas. There are 4 groups of chaplains, Protestant, Catholic, Jewish and Muslim. Even though my dad is a member of The Curch of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he helped out with Protestant, Baptist, Lutheran and any other Christian service. I went with him to attend these services. Sometimes his job required him to do Protestant services on submarines. I loved joining him to see other religions and of course to be on a submarine. I have been through multiple life changing situations. I make mistakes. I am flawed. The knowledge of a Savior, the atonement and who I am helps me to be better.

Why I am a Mormon

From a young age I was exposed to a variety of different religions. In my teens, decided to go my own way and try other lifestyles. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has always felt true and good in my heart compared to other churches and lifestyles. In my early twenties, I committed to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Following the ways of the world led me down a dark, lonely, sad path. I experience more freedom, light and love when I embrace the Gospel of Jesus Christ and let his atoning love heal me. That doesn't mean I don't have trials or that life is easy. There is purpose and an eternal picture. I know I can be with my family forever. Life doesn't just end. This knowledge brings peace and comfort.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by loving my children the way the Lord loves us. I try to love others the way the Lord would want me to. I try to follow values that will keep me and my family safe. I try to serve in what ways I am capable of serving. I try to convey hope to those around me. I say I try since I am human I won't be perfect. I am just doing the best I can, as all the other folks are.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Yes. I believe that there is a prophet on the earth today. The Lord is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. If He had prophets then, we most definitely need them today, too. Show more Show less
