Hi I'm Emily

I have one of the most rewarding jobs in the world. I am a stay-at-home mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After getting married, my husband and I moved away from our home state of Utah, as he pursued a career as a Foot and Ankle Surgeon. Since that time we have welcomed three children into the world, and have moved those children to many different states following his career. Each time we move it is hard to leave behind the family and friends we have grown to know and love, and yet we know that God will lead us to new friends and people who will touch our lives and hopefully in turn, we can touch theirs. Along with being a stay-at-home mother, I teach piano lessons, volunteer in the community and in my church and work on completing my Bachelors Degree. Although life is trying at times as we try to "fit it all in" I feel a great satisfaction knowing that the majority of my time is going to raising my children up unto the Lord. I feel this is the most important job I could have right now- these few precious years of teaching them, loving them and guiding them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my Savior Jesus Christ. I know that He is my Savior and that only through Him, can I be saved. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the difficulties of life become easier as I rely on my Lord and Savior, His holy scriptures, and His Living Prophet who provide modern revelation, to guide me each and every day. I continue to follow His gospel, despite temptations, because I know it is the only way for me to live with my family Forever, in His Kingdom. Each day I strive to turn my life to Him, Serve as He would serve and Love as He would love. His restored gospel gives me clarity in an ever changing world, as to what my priorities really should be.

How I live my faith

In our church I supervise the teaching of over 30 children between the ages of 18 months and 12 years old during their two hours of Sunday School. We sing songs that teach them the principles of the Saviors gospel, they read and study the Book of Mormon, another Testament of Jesus Christ, along with the Holy Bible. We focus on helping them gain a testimony of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, know of His love for them individually and teach them to rely on Him as they strive to make righteous choices. I love teaching these young children, who are just starting to learn to love The Lord. What better time to teach them the principles of the gospel, principles that will guide them throughout the trials and tribulations of their lives.
