Hi I'm Ali

My name is Ali. I am a native from Michigan and an artist from Hawaii and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Michigan as one of 7 children. I went through life as a normal kid with my own special circumstances. I graduated high school when I was 18 and I went to college and away from home for the first time. I enjoy being on my own and making my own decisions. I transfered over to Brigham Young University- Hawaii after my first year and I'm studying Fine Arts soon to be graduating.

Why I am a Mormon

I do like the doctrine that the church practices, for instance, the part about being sealed with our families after death. I like the idea (no matter how cheesy it sounds) about being with my future husband and living with him for all eternity. To me, that is love and commitment.

How I live my faith

I had the fortune to be born into this faith and to have parents who took me to church every Sunday. When I left home, I went to church affiliated schools and went to church every week as a requirement. When I left home, I no longer could rely on my parent's testimony and dictation. It was ultimately my own decision to progress down my spiritual path. During my freshman year of college, I went through a bit of a struggle and in my time of grief, I turned to my God for peace. It might sound silly, but I am grateful for my pains and trials that gave me the push to become closer to my Father in Heaven.
