Hi I'm Brooke

I'm a singer, I'm a dancer, I'm an actress, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a family that loved music and life. I have five siblings, three older and two younger, and they are my best friends in life aside from my parents. Growing up my family was always focused on Christ, attending church each Sunday and reading from the scriptures together. Each Christmas, before we opened our presents, we read the nativity story, reminding us of the real reason we were celebrating. My mother has always been a strong example of humility and patience in my life. My greatest virtues were developed due to my mothers example and care. Currently, I am studying vocal performance at Brigham Young University Hawaii. It has been such a blessing in my life to further my education here on Oahu. I am far from family, but the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has been a consistent support and family to me while I am away from home.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents raised me in the church, but being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was a decision I made on my own. Living up to the principles and standards of this church have brought joy and peace into my life that is unparalleled. I can feel the love of Christ in my life and the power of His everlasting atonement. His infinite mercy brings a calm assurance into my life and lets me know that the teachings and principles not only improve my life, but that they are true.

How I live my faith

My leadership position in my ward is to direct and organize a choir. We practice and sing in church meetings and help create a peaceful environment to invite a reverent tone of worship into meetings. Aside from my church responsibility, I try to live a life of patience and virtue. I don't drink alcohol, swear, or watch R-rated movies. Even in my dress I try to emulate a clean, covered, professional appearance. All of these elements in my life help me feel a consistent sense of charity and stability. These standards help me feel the joy of Christ and truly make me free and happy.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon is wonderful! Having a constant sense of purpose and direction, life is simply happy. Being a part of a ward, you always have a community of friends there to help and support you. You can feel the hand of charity in your life as others congregate around you to bring you closer to the happiness and love of Christ and family. We believe that families are forever and that even after this life, we will be with them again. Show more Show less
