Hi I'm Cynthia Baker

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

She is a Faith driven gal who used to drive her own car but now enjoys the scenery and God is the chauffeur. She relies heavily on the Holy Spirit through prayer and scripture reading. She tends to make lots and lots of mistakes and sometimes does not listen so well. She follows Jesus Christ and helps others do the same. Her husband is her hero and best friend and after 20 years it is only getting better. They have 5 teenagers...there is never a dull moment in their home. She views life as right side up and tries to enjoy every moment of it. She plays with her kids, reads, loves to listen to smooth jazz, rides horses, laughs a lot, and knows a little bit about achieving goals, she tries to be the best she can be with the tools God has given her, and she is a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

Not more than 10 years ago my life was upside down because of the life choices my husband and I had made. I am a Mormon because God answered a sincere, repentance prayer...literally, the phone rang while in that prayer. It was a call from a friend whom we had lost contact with for four years. At that point, he was a Bishop of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He said the Holy Spirit did not allow him to leave his home to go to work. He battled with himself for 20 minutes before he picked up the phone to call my husband and I. It was in the depths of our sorrow that God reached down because we asked. We latched on and have never stopped letting go. He took me and my husband, a forsaken girl and boy, cleansed our spirits, and made us whole again. Today and everyday I strive to have an ongoing relationship with Heavenly Father. He has blessed me beyond my capacities and I believe the best is yet to come.

How I live my faith

I am a Ward Missionary. A Ward Missionary is someone who helps the missionaries (those are the guys you see riding bicycles) teach individuals and families who are seeking the truth about where we lived before we came to earth, what is our purpose here, and where we go after this life. This is a service I render to my church and it gives me the courage to speak to others not of my faith about Jesus Christ. I dedicate my life to serve Heavenly Father because He has given so much to me and my family. He directs my life and points me in the direction He wants me to go. The challenge I find is in listening better to the Holy Spirit. My family is my life and I love them so dearly. I have a responsibility to be a good example to my children, for they are my future so l live my life with their legacy in mind.
