Hi I'm Renee

I am the oldest of five, I can wiggle my ears, I am happy to be alive, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

No, I have not lived in Mississippi my whole life. I was born in Mississippi, then moved shortly thereafter to Oklahoma, then to Washington State where I spent most of my childhood. After that we moved back to Mississippi where I have spent the rest of my childhood. I am a normal unique person, like most people on this planet. My interests include, but are not limited to, reading, sleeping, cooking, crafting, sewing, helping people, listening to music, watching humorous videos on YouTube, watching movies with my family, playing varying types of games, learning, and travelling. I love to eat rice and fruit and soup and baked goods. I was home-schooled, I want to study architecture in college, and I aspire to be a stay at home mother. I have been called to the Japan Kobe mission and I am so excited to serve the Lord and invite others to come unto Christ as a full-time missionary. I love Him and I love His gospel, and I know I will love the people I serve.

Why I am a Mormon

This gospel and my testimony bring me much peace, comfort, and strength. I know it is true. I know that God lives and that Christ lives. To know that He hears my prayers and answers them is a blessing. The power of the Atonement is real. I have felt its healing effects. I know that when I read the scriptures and I pray in the morning it makes a huge difference in my day. I am happier, more energetic, and prepared. I am grateful for this knowledge of the gospel which I've obtained and all that I am learning. I am grateful for the prophets-that we have modern day revelation given to the world through them. I have read The Book of Mormon and I know it is true. I feel it in my heart. I have prayed about and received personal revelation. I also know it by its fruit. I love the things it teaches because they are so true and right. If you follow the teachings in there, you will receive the blessings. You will be happier. I know it because I've tried it! I read it over and over and every time I get something new out of it. I know it. I live it. I love it.

How I live my faith

It is my life. My faith affects everything in my life, even small ways in the little things. The way I dress, the words I do or do not speak, the way I interact with others, the things I subject myself to, my goals in life. I live my faith by studying the scriptures and praying. I live it by striving to always be kind to others (it is definitely not always easy) and doing my best to serve when I see the opportunity. Naturally, I am not perfect--not even close--but I try, and when I fall short or make mistakes, I know I can repent. I live my faith my using the Atonement. The Atonement can heal our hearts and cleanse our souls when we use it correctly and with sincerity. I live my faith by spending quality time with my family too, and by building positive relationships with them. I believe families can be together forever. Forever is a long time, so it's best to learn to like them now, right? And I do. They are home--that special warm place of safety and belonging--to me.

Are Mormons Christians?

Mormons are Christians. Our religion is centered on Jesus Christ. As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints we pray and worship in the name of Jesus Christ. He is our Savior and Redeemer. we are taught to follow His example, and we follow His examples and teachings. Show more Show less

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Yes! My parents where married in the temple and sealed for eternity and by doing so, sealed our family together forever. Family relationships can last forever—not just for this life. So after we die we will live again and still be a family-together. We will if we keep the commandments, use the Atonement of Jesus Christ and follow His example. Show more Show less
