Hi I'm Abby Call

I love cooking, being outdoors, dancing, and listening to country music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student studying Sociology and Nutrition. My dream is that everyone can access to nutritious food! I love food; both making, eating, and sharing it. I'm a cancer survivor! I am a dancer at heart. I love photography. I'm the middle child, and have recently divorced parents. That experience has been a roller-coaster, but I have learned to love my family so much more because of it. I love being outdoors. A lot. I especially love being in the mountains, and taking in all of God's beautiful and awe-some creations.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that God loves me. Because of that He sent His son to earth to show us all the way back home to our Heavenly Father. And in these times Christ has restored His gospel again so that we could learn all we need to be truly happy in this life and forever! I know that without a doubt because I have prayed to know for myself. I know that he answers our prayers. He has answered mine so many times with guidance, with peace and comfort, or with people put in my path. He has answered my prayers that the Book of Mormon is truly His word. Christ lives! He guides us still today through His prophet. The fact that God has a prophet on the Earth right now is AMAZING! And I know that it is because He loves us! I am a Mormon because it is what makes me happiest in life and I know that I can become closest to my Heavenly Father and His Son through studying and living His gospel. I've seen myself change so much for the better by following Christ, and seen how much happier others become when they do too. And I am a Mormon because I know that He loves me and wants me back with Him. And I love Him too!!

How I live my faith

I have been able to serve in my ward in many different ways from being the "Ward Photographer" to organizing ward activities. One of my favorite programs is called Visiting Teaching, where women in the ward are able to visit one another each month to check up on each other and teach one another. I love the relationships I have built from this! I also love finding ways to serve in my community, like volunteering for the American Cancer Society or a local food bank. I try to live my faith by following Christ and doing my best to treat others around me as He would, love them as He would, forgive them as He would, and by remembering that they are God's sons and daughters and are so so so important to Him. I know simple things can make a difference. I've recently left home to serve Christ as His missionary in Jacksonville, Florida for 18 months!!
