Hi I'm Annaliesse

I'm studying Marine Biology to study Sharks. I have moved 10 times. I'm a scuba diver. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student attending Brigham Young University. I am studying marine biology. I plan to go into shark field research, which scares most people. I love to travel, I have been to three continents so far and I plan to place my foot in every single one. I enjoy spending time with my family and play games, even if we are a little too competitive. I live in a military family and have lived in 10 different places. Each one I have learned something new, which adds up after a while. I want to see the world and be able to have a family of my own some day.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to become a member of the church because it has changed my family and is one of the best choices made. When I was younger my parents found the church and we went every week, though everyone thought that we were a new family that had just moved in. Eventually we asked for the discussions and my parents were baptized a few short weeks later. I was still under the age of 8 at the time. One year later we drove across Canada to be sealed in the Cardston, Alberts temple. We figured that if we could survive the long days in a car to get here and make it to the temple that we were meant to be sealed for eternity. The gospel has changed my life and the life of my family and has made us better.

How I live my faith

The best thing a person can do for another, is to help. I always try to help people if I see that they are in need or if they ask for my help. By being able to serve someone else I am helping them to be lifted up. I also try to be friendly to everyone I meet and pass by because sometimes just saying "hello" to someone or letting them they look nice can change their day. It's happened to me lots of time. We need to be guided by the Spirit and when we allow them to catch a glimpse of it, it helps shed new light on them and they want to know more about what makes us different.
