Hi I'm Kim

I am a wife, a mother, and a grandmother who loves her family and loves to laugh, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and grew up in Arizona on the desert in an adobe house without running water or airconditioning and with an outhouse. We made up games to play outside and had to watch out for the snakes and scorpions. Through that I have come to enjoy the simple things of life and those things that matter most. I love seeing beautiful scenery and the greatness of our Lord's majesty. I am a working mom but have raised six children and have loved every minute of it...no being a mother was not perfect but I have learned and grown so much because of that opportunity. Now I have 7 wonderful grandchildren to love as well. I love camping and hiking with the family, we have had so much fun over the years. I also enjoy scrapbooking, cooking, playing games and just having fun.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon. I was so shy and scared of talking with others that my mother had to teach me that it's ok to talk to others. She asked me to say hi to everyone and everything...even trees, birds and little bugs. It helped me to feel good about myself and when I said hi to others it made me smile. When I was a teenager I thought I would find happiness doing what "everyone" else was doing but the happiness I was searching for I never found until I learned that it is only through Christ that we find true happiness and love, that is why I have chosen to be a Mormon. I love the joy, peace and happiness it brings to my life that I could not find anywhere else.

How I live my faith

I get up every morning at 5 am to read scriptures and pray with my family. I try to be a good example to my family and others around me by choosing to do right things. My daughter taught me steps to keep focused on the right things called 4321. 4 means going to the temple at least once a month. 3 means reading at least 3 scripture verses personally each day. 2 means praying morning and night. 1 means activily engaged in church every sunday. I have put these things into practice in my life and I feel like through that I come closer to my Savior.
