Hi I'm Robert Chandler

I grew up in Southern California and still reside here and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am married and we have 5 children. Both my wife and I have gone to college, I have a B.A. in History and my wife has a Masters in Education. Our children are residing in Oregon, Utah, California and Wisconsin. We enjoy spending our time with family and doing a variety of outdoor activities such as going to the beach, fishing, snorkling, hiking, camping. We also love traveling but domestically and internationally.

Why I am a Mormon

Our Father in Heaven has given our family so many blessings! I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints because of the strong family values it teaches, the emphasis on education both temporal as well as spiritual. I have a firm conviction of Jesus Christ and his direct leadership in his work. The organization of his Church on earth is a perfect organization, although many of us are certainly prone to error and perform our duties as best we can under his influence we do make mistakes and for that I am glad for the tenant of repentence and accessiblity to His atonement which was wrought on my behalf as well as every individual who has or ever will live on this earth. Being a Mormon is more than a Sunday religion but a life style and that life style is expressed in how we emulate Christ and his teachings.

How I live my faith

We live our lives with a commitment to live the teachings of our master, that being Jesus Christ. Those commitments we have made at the waters of baptism along with those scared promises we enter into in the Temple keep our lives on a course of eternal progression. The thought of living with my family through the eternities is an exciting and inspiring one. Throughout the years I have had the opportunity to support my wife in her areas of responsibility and in turn she has supported me in those positions within the Church organization that I have had. We enjoy the concept of home teaching and visiting teaching where we as members help support one another and meet with each other in our homes. Those positions of leadership that I have had the opportunity to have certainly have developed traits that have carried over into my employment as well as leading the family. Things like speaking in front of groups both large and small, as well as a variety of age groups. The conducting of meetings has helped again in both the home and employment. Working in the Boy Scouting Program through the Church has been a great time. Again in my mind to be an active Mormon is not a Sunday type thing but truly a way of life.
