Hi I'm Steve

I'm a Mormon. Born in Colorado, but grew up in California. White water river guide in college.

About Me

I am a father of 4 and love doing things with my family. I spent 3 years in Spain when my father was called to serve as Mission President of the Madrid, Spain Mission. What an experience for a 12 year old kid. I too served a mission in Arizona on the Navajo Indian Reservation and learned so much about the Native American culture as I taught of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Graduate of BYU in 82'. I worked as a white water river guide to pay my way through college and spent most of my summers in Idaho and winters in Chile during my college years. What a great experience to meet people, have fun and work at the same time. I now work as VP of Operations for a Fortune 250 company. I travel extensively and enjoy the people I meet along the way. I enjoy most outdoor activities, but of late my favorites are skiing and golf, mostly because I can spend time with my wife and my kids in these sports.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel fortunate to have been born to parents who where active members and I grew up in an environment where giving service to others was encoraged and hard work exemplified. I witnessed family and friends living their religion and striving to follow the example of Jesus Christ, as a result we were happy and I too gained my own testimony of the restored Gospel of Jesus Chirst. Striving to live as Christ would have us live gives me peace and comfort in times of trial. I know that life continues on after we die and that I can live together with my family in the life hereafter, this gives me the strength and courage to stand by my convictions and hold true to the faith.

How I live my faith

It is great being a member of a chruch and congreation where people genuenly care about one another. Where I am able to not only attend and feel of the spirit but where I can participate and provide service to others. In so doing I get so much more from my attendance and feel like I can share of the many blessings that I have recieved from my Heavenly Father. There are so many things that distract us and would pull us away from following God's commandments today. By having family prayer daily and reading the scriptures I am able to remember what God would have me do and that constant focus helps me to chose the right.
