Hi I'm Jocelyn

I am a mom to 5 adorable kids. I love to sew and blog. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My life is my children. I am able to stay home with my 5 adorable kids ranging from age 10 to 18 months. Everyday I take care of there needs and get them to where they need to be. If there is a spare minute hear or there I love to blog and surf Pinterest for fun ideas. I really love to sew and quilt, but for the most part its all up on a shelf waiting for me after my kids are grown. I have a BS in Economics and an AS in crop science. I'm married to the greatest Colombian guy and he makes me the happiest girl around.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes sense. Every question we can have about our divine nature has an answer in the gospel of Jesus Christ. When I read the Book of Mormon or attend my church meetings I constantly feel the Holy Ghost testify to me that I am doing the right thing as I follow the commandments of God. I am a Mormon because I know that Heavenly Father wouldn't leave us alone here on earth and that through the priesthood we have a living prophet on the earth to guide us, just like during the time of the bible. I know that everything we have here on earth, including our families, is patterned after what we have waiting for us after this life and that living a Christ centered life will lead us to our greatest blessing.

How I live my faith

As a family with lots of little ones it is often a struggle to find the time to study and teach in our home. I find myself teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to my children everyday through the inquisitive minds. We find that having family prayers both morning and night sets our family on the right path for the day and reminds us to follow the Saviors example. Every Sunday we go to our church building to worship, partake of the Sacrament, and serve the fellow members that meet in our building. I currently am serving as the music leader for the children's meeting. I get the teach them the gospel through the songs that they learn and will probably remember for the rest of their lives. It's probably my favorite calling yet.
