Why I am a Mormon

The Missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints visited my home in 1977; while living near Hampton, N.B. At that point in my life I believed that my children should know something about God. Shortly after attending a local Church, in my area; the missionaries came by and introduced the story of how the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ, came to be and how it contained a history of the ancient inhabitants of this the American Continent; their wars and their belief in a savior of man kind, even Jesus Christ. The missionaries introduced the Lord's plan of happiness and that by living this plan I can enjoy the association of my family forever, not only in this life but in the next; depending upon my personal worthiness; how God the Father and his son Jesus Christ know me, love me and want what's best for me.This faith has taught me how to be a better person, friend, brother, son, husband, father and grandfather. It is a plan that can make a bad person good and a good person better! BUT it takes work and FAITH.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith the best I can by supporting my local and provincial Leaders;attending my meetings and trying to lend service whenever called upon to do so. I have a responsibility in my local branch as a Ward Mission Leader working with members and missionaries to help introduce the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ to interested people. Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ is very important to me and my wife as we believe that by so doing the Lord will bless our lives and support us through the trials of life. I believe that the family unit is the backbone of our society and that families can be together forever.
