Hi I'm Douglas Spurlin

I've lived all over Wisconsin. I enjoy working on old muscle cars, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Im a father of 2 boys. I have a military background of 9 years in the Army Reserves. I really enjoy restoring old muscle cars with my sons. My oldest son is Nathan, and the youngest is Aaron, who is currently in the US Army, serving in Afghanistan, and stationed out of Alaska. Im currently restoring a '74 Plymouth Duster with my son Nathan, and a '73 Chevy Nova. Im a member of the local car club in Two Rivers, known as the Lake Shore Knights, with my sons Nathan and Aaron. I enjoy going to car shows and cruises with a lot of muscle cars. My future dream is to go on the Hot Rod Power Tour with my sons, and Aaron's '73 Nova, and Nathans '74 Duster.

Why I am a Mormon

Im a member of the Church because it has helped me turn my life around and put me on the road I need to be. I was involved with some scary stuff when I was younger that almost took my life, and I owe it to the church for putting me where I need to be. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, and that the Book of Mormon, and this church is true. I know that without a doubt. I have a very strong testimony of the power of prayer, and know that he listens to everyone of his children. I also enjoy going out with the missionaries, helping them, and being able to be with them as they teach the discussions.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church every Sunday, and saying my prayers and reading my scriptures daily. I also bare my testimony, and share it with others whenever I can.
