Hi I'm McKenzie Lynn!

I want to be an interior designer. I love my husband, sunny days, jubilant laughter, prayers of little children, and being LDS!

About Me

Hello and welcome! I McKenzie Lynn! I am a Business Marketing Major hoping to complete a second bachelors degree in Interior Design. My goal one day is to design an Latter-Day Saint temple. I love school, I currently work in the advising office for my department, and I love serving people. I am recently married, and look forward to the adventures life will bring my husband and I! I can't think of a better way to spend forever than with a man whom I hold so dear. He has restored my faith in the family, and teaches me how to love people more sincerely every day. Love is so good when it is done right. That doesn't mean it will be easy, but I know that it is worth it. I firmly believe that change is horrifically scary, but it is worth the growth! Marriage is the greatest gift God has given me, and I stand all amazed at the miracles I witness every day as a wife.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Because I LOVE it. I get to see miracles every day of my life. I call this church the "Happy Church" because after looking at other beliefs, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the one that gives me the most peace and hope. The LDS church gives me hope in the loneliest and darkest of times. The things I know because of the Book of Mormon are miraculous. Because of this church I KNOW: There is no day or sin so AWFUL or DARK that the Lord doesn't UNDERSTAND or the Atonement can't BRIGHTEN. I am so LOVED by a Father in Heaven that I can never repay for this life. The most miraculous thing of all is He doesn't care! As long as I obey Him and return to his presence, He overlooks my debt. Heavenly Father loves all his children equally, He doesn't pick favorites. The Mormon church promises ALL of its faithful members that they will see their loved ones again. I wouldn't trade that precious hope for all the riches in the world.

How I live my faith

I love my Savior, and I owe it to him to make sure the world knows that I love Him. I have promised my Father in Heaven that I will spend my life making sure everyone I come in contact with knows that I am "not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ" (Romans 1:16). I can have all the faith in the world, but "faith without works is dead" (James 2:26). I spend my life testifying of Christ and how happy He makes me, and I am blessed. I live my faith on a day to day basis. Some days I'm not a horrible Latter-Day Saint, and other days I'm a fantastic one. I'm so grateful that God gives us so many chances to be a good person. I have had the opportunity to enter the holy temple of the Lord, and am trying my best to be worthy of the covenants I have made with the Lord there. I live my faith by trying to be like Jesus. I know who I am. I know God's plan. I'll follow him in faith. I do not want to move mountains. It is my hope that I am living my life in such a way that others can learn by my example.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

McKenzie Lynn!
When I think about Temples, I think about Tornadoes. Strange right? Well let me explain myself. If there was a tornado outside, where would you run? You would probably run to a safe spot underground that someone with a greater knowledge and understanding would have told you about. It is the same principle with Temples. God has designed Temples for LDS people to go to in order to feel peace in a chaotic world. There are so many things in the world today that go against LDS beliefs, that a person with greater knowledge and understanding (that whom we call our Father in Heaven) has prepared for us to go to. To protect ourselves from the outside world, and give us a more peaceful and sacred place to come and make promises with Him. Show more Show less
