Hi I'm Kelbey

I'm an athlete, I'm a redhead, I'm a student, I'm a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah and was raised in the church. I am the third of four boys and we all love sports. I played basketball and baseball all through out my life. However, I was the unique one out of the boys because football just wasn't my thing. That's where I got into volleyball and became the manager to my high school's team. Since Jr. High I've played in many CO-ED tournaments and have a love for volleyball. I have amazing parents who were always supporting me and encouraging me to do my best. I love my family and all the fun times we have together. I love to laugh, sometimes it can get out of control. School was very important to me and I worked hard in achieving excellent grades. My goal in my life was to become a missionary and my two older brothers led with example. I did the same and I served a mission in the Washington Tacoma Mission. I absolutely loved it! The Gospel has made a huge difference and been a wonderful change in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have been able to learn for myself that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the Lord's Kingdom. The Book of Mormon is that key evidence to know and learn the truth, it has a strong power that can change hearts. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior and has truly been the light in the dark times. The Atonement is real and so amazing! I know we have a Savior that has suffered every pain, weakness, and affliction we have! I have weaknesses and faced many trials but I know they are given me to make me stronger. When we look at them with a purpose that's when we learn most and come closer to our Father in Heaven and His Son. I love the Gospel, my favorite part is knowing that I can live with my family forever. Growing up I was that teenage boy who thought he knew everything! I believed I knew more than my parents and they didn't know what I was going through in life. I've been humbled and I've learned through experiences and trials that I was wrong. My Mom has become my best friend! I love my parents very much and so grateful for what they've taught and given me in my life. Before my mission I was able to experience personally the change of two girls' lives from the Gospel. They started to come to church with us and eventually were baptized. They are a huge part of my life and will forever be close to my heart. The girls' are like my sisters and we share a fun friendship. I know the effect the Gospel has on a life and the happiness it will bring.

How I live my faith

Faith is essential and an action so I live it by example. We have trials in life and we all make mistakes but those weaknesses have brought me close to my Savior, Jesus Christ, and Heavenly Father. Prayer is very important to me and has changed my life more than I could ever imagine. I believe that there is a purpose for everything. Some experiences we may not know why but it will bring us closer to our Father in Heaven and His Son. I love the Gospel and love sharing it to people! Right now I'm living my faith by serving a mission. While serving my mission I've seen and personally had miracles! I know they are real and depend on our faith. The happiness comes when we truly live like we believe!
