Hi I'm Larry

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the 64 year old husband and father of four children and retired public school educator. I am a life long mountain hiker and explorer. I have serve two full-time LDS missions.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a loving home by a father from a Methodist home and a Mormon mother. My parents and grandparents taught me about Jesus Christ and his gospel. They encouraged me to strengthen my faith in him. As I grew older and studied and prayed I learned for myself that God had restored His Church upon the earth, as it had been in the days of Jesus, with apostles and prophets who hold the priesthood of God. My father came to know the Church was true and he was baptized seven months before I was. A year later my father and mother took me and my siblings to the Logan Temple to be sealed together as a family for eternity. This act of faith by my parents changed our lives forever.

How I live my faith

My wife and I teach the youth in our stake about how to prepare for full-time missionary service to any place in the world they might be called. I recently completed fifteen months of service in my community as the home owner's association president. I feel that home teaching families in our ward is my most sacred calling in the Church. I also feel that watching over and strengthening each other in our marriage, our children and grandchildren, and aging parents, is the most sacred responsibility in life. Everything else is in second place.
