Hi I'm Harley

I am a supervisor at a brick factory and an ex-tattoo artist,I like fast cars, guns, and custom airbrushing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with hard working parents that loved their children. Mom has always been a cook and dad has always worked on and painted cars besides his fulltime job. So now that I have a family of my own, wife and 3 sons, I also work on and paint cars beside my fulltime job as a supervisor at a local brick manufacturer. I am also a good cook but I prefer to eat rather than cook. Most of my car projects are still done with my dad and I am trying to get my sons more involved. I also like fast cars and drag racing, and shooting guns at the conservation club, and fishing.I was a tattoo artist for 9 years but I have since traded in my tattoo ink for airbrush paint. My new favorite hobby is airbrushing, I have been airbrushing cars, guitars, helmets, and things for family and friends. Its fun and someday I hope to make a buisiness out of it. I love camping and hiking with my family and the Boy Scouts.

Why I am a Mormon

As a boy I was an honor student who like science and history. Two things that can't easily be argued with, they have witness's and results that have physical and logical proof of what, how, and why things are. I have always been a logical thinker, a show me the evidence kinda of guy. A going thru a couple of trials that opened my eyes I made me question my life I decided to change the way I did things. I wanted to become a better father and husband, not just the provider. About 6 months later the missionaries stopped and talked to my wife and I and we invited them back to share their message with us. I didn't fully understand the spiritual part of it but the history of it was logical and made sense so we countinued having discussions with them and they invited us to pray to god and ask him if what they have been teaching us is true, not to take their word for it. The night I prayed to god to know if the Book of Mormon was true and if he had a prophet on the earth again to do his work, I had the strangest feeling. I didn't here the answer but it was burned into my heart, almost as if I saw the results of a science experiment or saw authentic footage of a historical event. I can't explain it I just know it in my heart and my logical mind cannot dismiss what I feel and what I now know. It is the same as asking my dad, "Do you love me?" and he gives me hug. I didn't hear him say it but he made me feel it. Amos 3:7 - " Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." God has put his power on earth again, the same way he always has, and I know it is true, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I enjoy teaching the young men in our church because I love being part of their lives and the best way for some to learn is to teach. I have learned more from the boys then I ever could from reading on my own. I get to be with them every Sunday and then I am their Scoutmaster on Wednesday. Teaching them principles of the gospel and theirs duties and responsiblities to their God and their Country in church and boy scouts helps me to strive to be the best I can because I know they are watching me and they will learn from my example. I do not want them down, and I do not want to let my Heavenly Father down.
