Hi I'm Erin

I'm a college student, I love to laugh and have fun, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an English major, Theater minor. I was raised LDS. I've lived all over the world including Thailand, Taiwan, Maryland, and Hawaii. I love movies and books. Most of my life I've been the minority as a member of the Church, but I find so much strength in standing as a witness of its truth.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been taught the principles and doctrine of the church my whole life, and it has always brought me happiness. There was a time in my life when I went through significant trials and lost my place on the gospel path. It was then that I had to put my faith to the test, and learn for myself that this church is true. After about three years of being inactive, I could feel a difference in my life. I was no longer happy and at peace. I questioned everything about life, God, and myself even though I thought I still believed in the gospel. I eventually realized that the difference came from the lack of action on my part. Faith without works is dead, so I needed to work and show that I had enough faith that my Father in Heaven loves me to do what He has asked me to do. Because I know my divine relationship with God, I have a responsibility to embrace it, strengthen it, and encourage the same knowledge in others.

How I live my faith

I am currently living at home until I leave to serve as a missionary for the church. In my ward, I serve as a ward missionary so that I can help and learn from the missionaries working in my area. I attend church meetings and strive to participate as much as possible in church activities. I love being actively involved in my ward and knowing that they are a continuation of family for me.
