Hi I'm Chris

I have lived all over the U.S. in over 10 states. Everywhere I go there is one constant title I am proud of...I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the lucky husband of a beautiful wife, the proud father of three boys, a son of two incredible parents, a brother to six awesome brothers and sisters, and have an incredible extended family. I grew up as an Army brat moving around the country, and attended three separate high schools due to these moves. I know a little something about how to immerse somewhere new and make friends. I studied Computer Science in college, and love helping to solve complex problems through the application of technology. I am a big fan of the outdoors especially camping, hiking, fishing, and anything on or in water especially snorkeling and riding waves. I enjoy working out, and encouraging or helping others to live healthy. I love all types of music especially electronic music, and I played the trumpet all through my youth.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a Mormon family with parents that taught my siblings and I the commandments and doctrines of Jesus Christ. One particular truth that they taught was that if someone wanted to know if something was true or right they could ask God and He would answer their prayers. They helped me to understand that His answers did not always come at once or in the way I may have expected, but as surely as the sun would rise and set each day He would provide an answer. I have had so many wonderful experiences throughout my life with true and distinct feelings that God loves me, that He has a plan, and that He has established truth through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have turned to God in prayer seeking answers, praying for guidance and help, and praying for others. I have seen Him answer my prayers in various ways time and time again. I have seen His Gospel change my life and the lives of so many individuals reinforcing the worth and potential of each individual in His sight. I believe with all my heart that Christ has purchased the souls of all mankind through the shedding of His blood and suffering experienced through the Atonement. I have felt mercy and forgiveness extended for sin through repentance and faith on His name. I have felt His comfort, succor, and healing as I experience challenges that only He can truly relate to in a perfect manner having "descended beneath them all". I feel indebted to Him, and have tremendous love for Him and a desire to serve Him. Ultimately I'm a Mormon because I believe this is His church, restored by Him through modern and living prophets.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good example, and primarily just by loving and serving others. I recognized early on in my life that if my heart was open, God would often help me to see others through his eyes. This has been a great blessing, helping me to recognize that we are all part of the same family...His family. I live my faith by encouraging and supporting those around me who are sad, troubled, or otherwise in need. I currently help members of my ward or congregation feel inspired to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others, and coordinate efforts to support local Mormon missionaries. These missionaries, young men and women, dedicate 18-24 months of their life to teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ 24/7, and can often be recognized in their daily church attire wearing name tags and often riding bicycles.
