Hi I'm Cam

I'm an outdoor & extreme sports fanatic--I love to live life on the edge. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Love anything to do with the outdoors & probably every extreme sport you can think of. Just love to kick-it with anyone & have a good time.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church in a very strong LDS family, so going to church every week along with the rest of the fam was the thing to do. I had always believed in God & felt like church was something that was good/"the right thing to do" but I didn't know it was all true for myself until I was about 13yrs old. I started reading the Book of Mormon (although I hated reading) every night before going to bed because my parents told me it would change my life. One night I was reading about a prophet mentioned in the book named Abinadi. I paused to think about why this innocent man was being put to death by being burned alive just for something that he believed to be true. I couldn't understand why this man had to go through this & all the sudden I wondered if it was really true--if everything I had read really had happened and if the book was true (along with the whole church). I decided to ask God through prayer if this was all the real deal (without even knowing that the book contains a promise--that if we read, have the faith/desire to know if the Book of Mormon is true, and we ask God he WILL answer us). I got on my knees and began to pray asking God if all this was really true. An overwhelming feeling came over me in my heart that felt as though my skin and insides were burning along with the most happiness/peace I had ever felt in my entire life. I knew that day on that the book was surely true and that God had answered my prayer as he had done in the past. The Book of Mormon has not only changed my life & helped me become a better person but has answered any question that I have ever had in my life. I know with all of my heart that it's true and you can know for yourself as well.

How I live my faith

I do the best I can to live my faith by going to church each week, reading the scriptures, and praying every day.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

I believe that this life is a time for us to personally prepare to meet god and obtain as much knowledge as possible through our decisions (of choosing right from wrong) so that we can become like our Heavenly Father! Show more Show less
