Hi I'm Jeffrey Staples

I grew up in Utah I played all sorts of sports and im a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jeff! I Just turned 20 years old . I played highschool football and intend on playing collage upon my return from my full time mission starting july 11th 2012 to Lisbon, Portugal. My parents are not married but I love my family above all and try my best to be the best member of the family that I can be. I grew up on a small ranch near Zion National Park and learned to work by feeding cows, chickens, turkeys, pigs and a dog. I also learned by my parents showing me the importance of earning and saving as a result of my own work. Along with sports Iove to fish and hunt. I have had the amazing oppertunity to fish with my Father in many places around the world. My dream for my future career is to own a consulting and investing business kind of like a v.c group.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS religion but never fully took the teachings as serious as i should have nor incorperated them in my life. Though my life I have struggled with many things such as ; anger, some depression and often times my dating relationships were not to the standard that I believe my Father in heaven would want them to be and eventually I let these stuggles consume me. My life was heading down a road that was only leading to more sadness and pain.. when the time came that i finally opened my eyes and realized where my life was headed. I decided to do all I could to change and I knew anything that I could not change Jesus would fill in where I fell short. This change that later came in my life started with me humbling my self to a point that the Savior was able to once again to be a part of my life and show true happiness . He has also shown me how I could best right the wrongs of my past. Being a captian of my football team as well as being one who was easy to get along with, many people watched and looked up to me. So when I stuggled unfortunatally it did not just hurt me, but also those around me as well. It as been a little over a year since my progression began and now with the help of the savor and comfort of some new friends I am proud to say I am about to leave on a full time mission so i can share with others what I have learned through my stuggles and how to come closer to our savior and redeemer Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I attend all of my church meeting such as, social ones during the week and worshiping on sunday. I currently go with missionarys in my area to help teach investagatiors about the church. By trying my best to fully do all I can to come closer to God the Father and his son Jesus Christ I truly can see beautiful changes in my life.

Are Mormons Christians?

Jeffrey Staples
Yes Mormons are Christians! The whole base of our faith is on Jesus Christ and following his example . This is a quote from a former Prophet of our church : Gordon B. Hinckley, prior President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (1995-2008), said: “We are Christians in a very real sense and that is coming to be more and more widely recognized. Once upon a time people everywhere said we are not Christians. They have come to recognize that we are, and that we have a very vital and dynamic religion based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. We, of course, accept Jesus Christ as our Leader, our King, our Savior...the dominant figure in the history of the world, the only perfect Man who ever walked the earth, the living Son of the living God. He is our Savior and our Redeemer through whose atoning sacrifice has come the opportunity of eternal life. Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints pray and worship in the name of Jesus Christ. He is the center of our faith and the head of our Church. The Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ and witnesses of His divinity, His life, and His Atonement.” ... We love Jesus :) Show more Show less
