Hi I'm Jason

I grew up in Ohio. I'm a husband and father of a young, growing family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Ohio around family and friends of many different faiths. I have lived in many different places over the years and have come to know and love a diverse group of people. I'm grateful for the positive influences in my life. My wife and I have been married for almost 11 years and are expecting our fifth child in August. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing and watching sports, traveling to new places, and spending time outside. I find great joy in helping my children embrace sports, music, and other activities of their own. Our family enjoys being a part of the community and getting to know new people.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints shortly after they graduated from high school. My dad was raised Catholic and my mom attended a non-denominational Christian church in her youth. Both were raised in loving homes where they developed strong faith in Jesus Christ and a desire to do good. With great love for the Savior and a personal witness of the truthfulness of the restored gospel, my parents brought us to church each Sunday and taught us gospel principles in our home. We learned to laugh, love, hope, forgive, and trust in the plan our Heavenly Father. Although my parents were already members of the church when I was born, I chose to follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptised when I was eight years old. I try to remember the sacred covenant I made and follow the Savior's example each day. I find great peace and strength from others who also desire to follow Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

My wife and I now have an opportunity to teach our children of our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, in our home. We read scripture stories to the children in evening and we pray together before bed. We attend church together as a family each week and look for small teaching moments each day. I try to be a good friend, neighbor, and give back to our community through service to others. Our church sponsors a Boy Scout Troop and I currently serve as the Scout Master.
