Hi I'm Matt

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born and raised in southern California. Attending Brigham Young University and studying chemical engineering. I love sports and anything outdoors especially playing basketball and racquetball, rock-climbing, snowboarding, and running. I am currently serving a mission in the Florida Ft. Lauderdale mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that my life has been blessed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have an amazing family and a loving and spiritual atmosphere at home. I am a firm believer that faith begins at the home, as mine has.

How I live my faith

I am living my faith by serving God and my brothers and sisters in South Florida. I love reading and studying the scriptures, especially by memorizing my favorite scriptures. I love praying to my Heavenly Father and sharing my deepest and sincere questions, feelings, and thoughts. I love the strength that I receive when I do these things. They help me every day to better face the trials and difficulties that we all have in life.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

I like to think that Heavenly Father has given us 100%. And, in every sense He has. This earth that He created for us through His Son Jesus Christ is a place where we can live and grow, experience opposition, and see if we can worship and have faith in God even when we can not see Him. He has given us every blessing physical and spiritual that we can imagine and more. God does not need our money. He only asks us to extend our faith and contribute to building up His church and blessing the lives of His children by bringing them closer to Christ. And, simply, we are returning 10% of what is already His. Show more Show less
