Hi I'm Mary

I love the arts. Music is my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Torrance, California and have two older brothers. I am as of now the only LDS member in my entire family. My parents were/ are bikers so we did move around a lot which was fun for me, I got to see and live in many of the greatest places in the Country. I can play just about any stringed musical instrument placed in front of me, I picked a violin up when I was about five and things just went from there. In my spare time I like to mess around and tinker with computers although I spend more of my spare time making abstract art.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the church, although some people could say I was raised in it. Unlike most converts I became a member at the age of eight going on nine, and ever since then i've known without a shadow of a doubt what the missionaries taught me was real. Parts of my family were very religious which made me curious at a young age and when I went to church with them things just didn't make any sense, they always told me it wasn't for me to understand because I was so young but deep down I felt like I should..that I NEEDED to understand. I had friends down the street that were members and they invited me to church with them and after a few times of going I knew it was where I wanted to be. It was after they explained to me what I needed to do to become part of the church, the Elders stopped by and the rest is very pleasant history

How I live my faith

As of now I have a ward missionary calling, so I try hard to help the missionaries in our ward as much as I possibly can. Whether that is helping out by visiting some people interested, or just coming to the church when they're teaching to befriend new people interested in the church there. When I am not volunteering at the local medical center doing what I can there I am also trying to prepare to serve a mission of my very own! Living faith is also in the very smallest of things we do as well though. Just treating others with respect and kindness, small acts of kindness like that seem small but they can do really big things!
