Hi I'm Joseph

I'm a husband. I'm a dad. I'm a chiropractor. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in northern Virginia where I mostly lived on a hobby farm while my dad sold insurance. My family moved to Iowa my senior year in high school because my dad was changing careers to become a chiropractor. I was homeschooled from 8th-12th grade. Boy did my mom go through alot to teach us all. I have four sisters. I served a 2 year mission. A couple months after I got home I headed to Rick's College where I earned my associates degree. My family had moved to Idaho while I was at college. I moved back home and attended Boise State University and earned my bachelors degree. I then moved to Missouri and attended Logan College of Chiropractic where I earned my chiropractic degree. I now work with my dad. I got married in my early 30s (several years older then I had thought 10 years previously). My wife had been married previously and she had three daughters when we got married. We now have an additional son and daughter. Our youngest daughter has Down Syndrome. I love my family dearly. I enjoy going on hikes with my wife, accomplishing things off the "to do" list, family vacations where we can just spend time together as a family. I enjoy wrestling with my son and holding our new born. I enjoy getting the older children laughing at one of my goofy stories. My favorite sports are volleyball and ping-pong. I enjoy board games, a game of chess every now and again, and reading a good book or listening to one on CD as I travel. Life is great!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon or, member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, because I believe that Jesus Christ leads this church. Christ leads this church through revelation and inspiration given to everyone who sincerely, faithfully, desires to know His will and is willing to do His will. Specifically, Christ directs this church through present day prophets and apostles. Why do I believe so strongly that Jesus Christ directs this church? Because I have prayed and asked Heavenly Father whether or not the church of Jesus Christ was more then just a good church, is it actually Jesus Christ's church here on earth. The answer was yes. So I have tried to be a good member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; I have tried to be a good Christian.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good Christian by sharing the gospel with others. I enjoy serving and helping out where I can at church. I have invited my friends to church and church activities as a youth and as an adult. I was a missionary in Texas for 2 years. I try to be a good neighbor in every way and am open and honest to questions about religious topics and about life in general. I try to be honest and fair in my dealings with others. I try to be an upstanding citizen of my community and country. I have, probably most importantly, try to live as I preach at home. I continue to try to be a loving and faithful husband and father that can be looked up to, relied upon, and enjoyed by my family.
